HISTORIC SATURDAY

As I got my New York Times this morning I noticed the joint effort of the American Legion Post 244 cleaning up the grounds on Freedom Way. Early in the morning it was the 30th Anniversary of the Oklahoma City bombing. Former President Bill Clinton delivered a moving speech. Next it was the celebrating of the 250th Anniversary in Lexington, MA. This celebration attracted folks from the USA and around the world. Marching bands and dressed Militia Men made for a great attraction. Josh called inviting me over to his home on Birch Hill for pizza. Also, it was my opportunity to be with my four grandchildren Chase Robert, LilyP, Maddie and Evie. It was a proud moment when each person was presented with a cash donation of $200! Heidi suggested each child give Pops a hug! Next it was coming home to watch the Red Sox versus the Chicago White Sox. R. Devers connected for a home run, but Chicago came back to tie the game at 3-3. In extra innings the Red Sox prevailed with a 4-3 victory in front of a sell-out crowd. Tomorrow, I intend to watch Joel Osteen at 10:00 AM. It was the hottest day of April 2025 with a reading of 80 degrees. I chose to sit out in the sunshine for 3/4 hour. Later in the day we ha torrential downpours giving us .15 inches of rain. Tomorrow will be Easter Sunday, and I wish everyone the happiest day possible! Happy Easter!
