SENIOR AMERICANS.. PLEASE TAKE NOTE!

While in Springfield today observing the "Jack & Jackie" display at the Museum I noticed a quote from Kennedy's campaign literature that reads:

"All our older Citizens ask is the dignity they have earned." JFK.

Up the road is the Holyoke Soldiers Home. Once again I snagged some thought worth sharing with you about Falling.. and not necessarily in love.

1. BALANCE AND GAIT. Flexibility and balance.
2. VISION. Tripping hazards are harder to see.
3. MEDICATIONS.Dizziness, dehydration or interactions.
4. ENVIRONMENT   S
5. CHRONIC CONDITIONS Diabetes, Stroke or arthritis.

Old age can definitely be a "DANGER ZONE." Lighting, stairs and bathrooms can cause falls. I have grab bars. How about a shower chair?


Walk with a cane or walker. SLOW DOWN!


Continue to live but don't invite trouble.
