RAIN- RAIN- RAIN

This Saturday saw the most I have rain ever recorded!  Right now, I'm recording 2.48 inches of rain. This will give everything a good shot in the arm and will make everything grow, grow, grow! Today was different as I watched Barrett-Jackson Car Auctions until it no longer capitated my imagination. Prices realized were extreme as I see it. Then came the Boston Red Sox at Cleveland. The Sox lost the first game 5-4 then me back with a victory 7-3. Tomorrow, I plan on watching Joel Osteen at 10:00 AM. I may go to Hannaford NB as I'm getting low on necessary items. Josh came by looking for a certain picture with no avail.

DIFFERENT FRIDAY IN LATE APRIL 2025

Today saw a change in many ways. The brilliant sunshine of the past few days is gone. The Red Sox game in Cleveland was postponed until tomorrow because of rain. My chores included preparing a bag of trash for Josh along with assembling a bag of "dirty" laundry. My mail was fetched from 01585 including a notice from Verde Energy USA which supplies at a price of 15.09 Cents/KWH. In the afternoon I called inviting Josh to go to the Legion with me. 'Can't go as I must mow my lawn." The Legion was fun as usual. Jeff Nickerson had some ideas on how to bring the Cadillac Allante' back to life. He suggested contacting "Rico" who was absent tonight. Carol Slater also joined in the conversation after I enjoyed a BLT sandwich and a soft drink on ice. Tomorrow's weather forecast is for rain. The funeral procession for Pope Francis begins at 3:00 AM. I plan on begin watching TV when I get up about 7:00AM.

SENTIMENTAL THURSDAY

After the Red Sox lost to Seattle 4-3, I decided to take a journey around New Braintree and North Brookfield. I figured seeing Spring in these towns would be rewarding. and it was. The thousands of yellow daffodils allowed me to realize these plantings were the effort of one June Glidden!  As I traveled with my air conditioning on my next stop was seeing the modified version of Bates Observatory. Next, I drove over to St. Joseph Cemetary. where I was greeted with the thousands of names on the headstones. including names of Richard Gagnon, Donald St. Cyr and June Messier. The Southerly views to West Brookfield and Warren were beautiful on this late Thursday in April. My trip was over 20 miles. Coming back, I felt refreshed knowing I had done the correct thing.

THE RED SOX CENTURY

This paperback book recounts an interesting history of the Boston Red Sox! It was published in 2004 by author Alan Ross. Here are some highlights: The Curse, The Green Monster, The Rocket, Teddy Ballgame, Yaz, Fenway, Nomar and Pedro. In my opinion this book can be perceived as a history book of the Boston Red Sox. Tonight's loss by the Sox was 8-5. quite the opposite from last night's victory. Tomorrow will be an afternoon game against Seattle. Today saw brilliant sunshine in which I sat out for a good half hour. Josh stopped by returning "clean" laundry which was put away. The price of gold was$3,449.80 and dropped as the day went on. Tomorrow will be another "winner" with sunshine and temperatures in the 70's.

RED SOX WIN 8-3

My Tuesday was different. The day was partly cloudy inviting me to sit in the sunshine for about 3/4 of an hour. All newspaper headlines covered the passing of Pope Francis and what is to be expected in the ensuing weeks ahead. Josh cane by to pick up my trash and "dirty" laundry. Later in the day he advised Chase Robert would be attending the Red Sox game! In watching the Sox Seatle game, it was inspiring to watch the Red Sox prevail over Seatle 8-3! The price of gold today was bid at $3,449.80.  Tomorrow looks like an even better day weatherwise. maybe the warmest day of 2025?

BACK IN BUSINESS

Every now and then I needed the help of Josh to get squared away! Today was no different. Yesterday the Red Sox defeated the White Sox 4-2 before a crowd of 34,721 fans. Earlier I did my food shopping at Hannaford NB spending $184.21.  The price of Gold continues to rise with today's bid of $3,449.80. Today's weather looks like sunshine and the temperature may each 70 degrees. Looks like I'll be sitting in the sun as my day progresses. The passing of the Pope is making World headlines. I'll follow everything closely as Pope Francis was Jesuit trained.

QUIET EASTER SUNDAY APRIL 20, 2025

This has been a different Easter Sunday for me! After watching Joel Osteen and fetching the New York Times for $6.00 Josh called as he drove by. We reviewed our wonderful Easter Celebration yesterday at Birch Hill. He said Chase Robert was working at Salem Cross Inn in West Brookfield one of the busiest Sunday of the year. The next surprise came at Fenway Park where the White Sox prevailed over the Red Sox 8-4. Tomorrow the two teams play on Marathon Monday at 11:00AM.  Marathon Monday will be full. I intend to watch all contests but first I must travel to Hannaford NB as my list reveals many things must be replaced. Did call sister Jan this afternoon to wish her a Happy Easter. Watch for the increase in gold prices!
