UPBEAT WEDNESDAY

Today was upbeat for me! I watched the President's explanation of all the things that will happen at midnight. My deepest convictions are to watch the price of Gold! Will the International markets move the price upwards remain the same or slip? Earlier today the price of gold was bid at $3,160.10.  Tonight, it was watching the Red Sox prevail over the Orioles 3-0. R. Devers had 2 hits and wore a big smile. The Sox play an afternoon game in Baltimore tomorrow returning on Friday for Opening Day against St. Louis Cardinals.   Tomorrow, I will fetch my mail at 01585 and weigh myself. Earlier in the day Josh returned clean laundry which was put away. I like the way all things turned out. Weatherwise it's cold 37 degrees and cloudy.

APRIL FOOL TUESDAY

The highlight of my Tuesday just came with a visit of my granddaughter Evie Potvin.  She and I were all smiles as she sat at my desk and computer. It has been "years" since Evie came by.  In my usual fashion Evie was given with a $50 bill. When asked "what's your favorite subject Evie replied "Math." Earlier in the day it was Hannaford NB where I had some fun playing an April Fool pranks I would say "Your shoelaces are untied!" They looked down then I said, "April Fool!" Most folks looked puzzled then I said, "April Fool!" The total came to $113.18 with a Senior Discount of $.5.90. I did see Carol Slater loading her car from a distance!  Son Josh came by to pick up my trash and "Dirty" laundry. The price of gold today was bid at $3,164.90. Weatherwise it will be very cold the next few days with possible frost in the AM. "Forward ever... backwards never!"

MEANINGFUL MONDAY IN MARCH

This Monday saw another Red Sox game in Baltimore playing the Orioles on Opening Day. Seems the Red Sox haven't found their winning ways losing 8-5. Devers continues to strike out setting MLB records. No game tomorrow. I plan on doing my banking tomorrow before going to Hannaford NB with a listing of food and necessities.  No word from Josh today. Did prepare a bag of trash and "Dirty" laundry. The fix of Gold continues to rise at $3,158.90. Don't forget to change your calendars to April!

SUNDAY OF DEFEATS

This Sunday saw me with High Hopes! First, the Boston Red Sox fell to the Texas Rangers 3-2. R. Devers is making history by the number of strikeouts so far this season. Maybe 13? Then it was onto to Auburn versus Michigan State. Auburn won and is going to the Final Four. Son Ben favors Auburn so I'll follow his lead.  Down in Belmont, NC Grand Daughter Savannah Hope Potvin won a gold medal in State competition in gymnastics. Am sending Savvy a note of recognition and a reward. Despite my Sunday of defeats, I have come out the winner!

VIETNAM VETERANS SATURDAY

I received a call early on from my sister Jan alerting husband Ray cited this Saturday was in recognition of Vietnam Veterans. As my time in Vietnam was in Vung Tau brought memories to the fore. This Saturday saw me obtaining the second license plate frame at NAPA. Cost $15.40 each. Gasoline was purchase at Country Corner along with a copy of The New York Times. My mail was also fetched bringing me up to date Later in the ay Josh brought my clean laundry back and alerted me of the UCONN girl's game. Before that I watched on CSPAN the Tribute of the Late Allen Simpson from Wyoming. I have fond memories of Laramie where I lived for about 5 months. Tomorrow morning, I plan on watching Joel Osteen at 10:00 AM.  Weatherwise my rain collection measures .25 inches. All in all, My Vietnam Veterans Saturday was fine. The Red Sox are trailing the Rangers 4-2 in the 7th Inning. R. Devers has struck out 11 times so far, this early season.

WONDERFUL FRIDAY IN LATE MARCH 2025

My philosophy is "Good things happen on Friday!" Today good things happened. I started the day by going to NAPA W.B. for a license plate frame. I got the last one and must return tomorrow morning for the other. These will be on Maddie's new Ford. Next came a trip to Hannaford NB. seems my purchases were light at $69.59. This Friday was baseball and basketball With Michigan State winning over Old Miss I now favor Michigan to go all the way! The Red Sox ae now playing the Texas Rangers and trail 4-1. Devers has struck out 6 times in 2 days. Seems something has got to give. Tonight, at the Legion, there was a very large crowd. Carol Slater and Jeff Nickerson visited then Betty Frew and husband joined in our conversation. Mike Frew is a retired history teacher at Quaboag High School in Warren. Son Josh called and came over to pick up my "Dirty" laundry and trash. He was also paid my monthly rent at the Poodle. Tomorrow morning, I must fetch my mail at Box 11, 01585. And yes, Howard's Drive-In WB is open. It's wonderful way to greet Spring.

VERY INTERESTING THURSDAY

It has been a very interesting day for me! Early on Jeff Nickerson dropped by as I have a project requiring Jeff's insight. We reviewed my options and feel we are both better off, Son Josh agreed to give me a haircut however the appointed hour was advanced 30 minutes, so I made a trip to New Braintree. This was my first time in 2025. I was looking to see if anybody had trapped the maple trees and sure enough one farmer ran a series of blue lines capturing the sap. Returning to Birch Hill Josh proudly showed me Maddie's new Ford. It's a beauty. I made a donation and promised to buy license plate frames which I hope to buy tomorrow at NAPA. Josh also proudly showed his new Sauna. Afterwards my time was spent watching the Red Sox defeat Texas Rangers 5-2. Abreau hit two home runs! Chase Robert called to make sure I was watching the Red Sox game.  Tomorrow, I plan on going to the Legion and yet I don't know my meal? The price of gold today was $3,083.60. Weatherwise it's cold 37 degrees.
