CAROL SLATER

The Bible says, 'a faithful friend is a sturdy shelter' and that is what Carol Slater means to me. Carol is consistent in being a top-notch friend. Today, Carol brought me a package of oatmeal cookies which I chose to give to my friends across the hall. I feel it is "always better to give than receive,'

Bill was born on June 12, 1943, and died on June 5, 2025.We kept in touch over the years, and Bill was my mentor advising me to quit the corporation and become an entrepreneur dealing in things I loved: Coins, stamps, clocks and watches & autographs We shared our lives and never opposed our lives. Bill was elected Campus King at St. Louis U. The loss for me is the biggest challenge of my life! RIP my friend & brother!

ROMANTIC TUESDAY

This Tuesday had some romance to it! Thanks to Pat Potter who I saw at Hannaford NB Pat alerted me she hadn't read my blog in weeks. This alerted me to call Josh who set me straight. Once again, I rely on his wisdom. Josh gave me instruction for the hundreds time giving me the instruction "When posting Click the Eyeball, Hit Facebo0ok and Share. "It works!! Now I'm caught up with properly posting my blogs! Hannaford NB saw me spend tons of money. My total came to $136.15 with the 5% Senior Discount of $7.14. I did get some Strawberry Ice Cream which I love. Also bought a gallon of Apple Cider. Saw sister Jan and Carol Slater. Late this afternoon I drove the Cadillac Allante for a 11-mile spin. The beauty of this Tuesday was "romantic" in every way. The Sox play tonight at 10:05 PM. Too late for me! Gold was bid at $3,689.

I enjoyed Mazzarella Strick's and soft drink. Carol Slater was in rare form exchanging stories. We laughed Jeff Nickerson was in a more serious mood Tonight the Red Sox lost to the Dodgers 5-2. The price of gold was bid at $3,397.20.

THURSDAY'S HIGHLIGHTS

My Thursday began with weighing myself, my weight came in at 150.4 pounds a gain of 3 lbs. I feel I have made a concerted effort to gain a few pounds by increasing my intake of good food and drink. The next highlight came with the visit of Maddie, Evie and Miley. I have been waiting to mentor Maddie with suggestions of choosing a college in a "Major League City!' Seems Boston may be her first choice! Maddie likes to travel to Cape Cod, so I gave her a book on Cape Cod Notional Seashore. And suggested she would make a good Ranger someday. Maddie was responsive to my suggestion No Red Sox game today. Tomorrow night the LA Dodgers will be in town with Shohei Ohtani. Should prove to be very interesting. The price of gold was bid at $2,429.oo.  Tomorrow, I plan on going to the Legion. Josh can't make it.

COMPLEX TUESDAY IN JULY 2025

My visit to the VA in Worcester revealed low blood counts. Dr. Sanjay called in a "panic" revealing the results Son Josh consulted with Nurse Heidi and arrangements have been made for Josh to take me to Mass General early tomorrow morning! Don't forget the Concert On-On-The-Common tomorrow 7/23 featuring "The Deloreans."

A GOOD M0NDAY DESPITE THE SOX LOSS

My Monday has been full! In anticipation of going to the VA tomorrow I chose to go to Hannaford NB Today. I loaded up with supplies with a total of $112.68. Then I drove to the NB Car Wash to get the Honda cleaned. Now it sparkles! After unloading the Honda Josh came by with Miley bringing "clean" laundry. Tonight's Red Sox game was a disappointment! What can I say? The price of gold was bid at $3,399.80.

RED SOX SUNDAY 6-1 VERSUS CUBS

This particular Sunday had meaning and purpose as the Red Sox came alive with their and pitching! It is what the Sox needed before leaving Chicago. Tomorrow the team travels to Philadelphia and hopefully the team has regained their confidence. I enjoyed a twist of food to including 6 strips of bacon, and black raspberry ice cream. Josh came by picking up my "dirty" laundry & trash. We had a brief thunderstorm giving us .11 inches of rain. It is clear skies now as I close. I may be able to stretch my trip to Hannaford NB until Tuesday.

BIRCH HILL PERFECTION

My Saturday was perfect as Josh invited me to spend time basking in the sunshine and enjoying a dish of vegetables from Ronnie's garden. I drove the Allante' and enjoyed music from 98.1 FM Brookfield. Earlier in the day I filled my bag of trash and prepared my bag of "Dirty" laundry. I don't want to dwell on the Chicago Club's slaughter of the Sox 6-0. Bello pitched a good game except for "Home Run City!" Tomorrow, I plan on watching Joel Osteen at 10:00 AM on Daystar.

FRIDAY BASEBALL IN JULY 2025

Today I had high hopes for the Boston Red Sox. IT seems it just wasn't in the cards. The Chicago Cubs delivered a 3-run homer early in the game. The final was 4-1 Cubs delivering the Sox defeat. Maybe the Sox can stage a comeback tomorrow? The weather today was a beauty. I drove the Allante' to the Legion to be greeted by Josh who was already there! We had a great visit. He had a BLT and me? Two Hot Dogs! Friends came by including Richrd Kemp. Jeff Nickerson and Carol Slater. As usual the conversation was spicey.  My enjoyment of Black Raspberry Ice Cream continues having two servings. before and after. Both newspapers had extensive obituaries on Connie Francis -12-12- 1937 7-16-2025.

RELAXING THURSDAY IN HEAT & HUMIDITY

Today saw me take the offensive with the heat & humidity! I went around my duties knowing it meant "slow down."  The enjoyment of Friendly's ice cream saw me going back three times! My diet has changed with three Brown & Serve Sausages and Orange Juice. The big news for me is remembering Connie Francis.12-12-1937 -7-16 2025. Connie had so many hits including "Lipstick on Your Collar." What's your favorite Connie sings? Spoke with Josh briefly. He suggested I take the Allante' out for a spin. No Dice! My Thursday has been relaxing and now it looks like we will be in for a Thunderstorm.  What's the old saying "Quit while you are ahead!"

It's either you like the heat & humidity, or you don't. I suppose today's weather is conducive for those who enjoy the Concert on the Common. For me, I enjoy my AC and high-speed fan! This Wednesday proved to be back to normal. I did put away all my clean laundry and enjoyed ice cream and Cherries. Spoke with Josh briefly who loves this kind of weather! The second half of the Red Sox season will begin on Friday. The price of gold today was bid at $3,331.50.

This Tuesday has been interesting for me! Earlier in my day I traveled to Hannaford NB where I loaded up on everything from Bacon to Cherries. I enjoyed eating some of these as I traveled the aisles. My total purchase came to $179.00 with a Senior Discount of $9.26. A reminder of Concerts on the Common tomorrow with The Crop Dusters entertaining. Josh & Miley came by with my clean laundry. Just now the American League & the National League are tied in the 9th! Now it's making history with the most Home Runs. National League wins 4-3!!!!

HOME RUN DERBY COMPLETE

It's interesting to see men compete for a Million Dollar title! I like the father & 2 sons celebrating and winning One Million Dollars! This Monday has been long for me. After the morning rituals of getting the newspapers, I called to 01585 for my mail. Received my mail to include my Spectrum bill for cable in the amount of $252.42 which I paid. I also received my bill from the VA for pills amounting to $140.00? which I paid. I placed a call to Josh who was extremely busy with Principal. Never hear back from him. Tomorrow I'll go to Hannaford NB with a big list of items needed. We had .44 inches of rain about 5:00 PM. The price of Gold was bid at $3,359.60.

RED SOX TEN GAME SWEEP

This Sunday saw the Boston Red Sox sweep the Tampa Bay Rays 4-1! I feel this victory shows the team has the momentum as we go into the second half of the season. Now the Red Sox can rest hoping they will come on all fired up! Josh came by earlier picking up my "dirty" laundry. He also gave me an AETNA cup purchased at the Brimfield Flea Market. Josh took Chase Robert. I feel this is good exposure for future interest seeing we are close to Brimfield. Enjoyed Friendly's Black Raspberry Ice Cream. May go to Hannaford NB tomorrow or Tuesday as I'm getting low on ice cream. LOL.

ROCK N ROLL RED SOX

I was an inspiring game for G. Crochet.  All the Sox needed was one run to defeat the Rays. Red Sox fans around the world will celebrate. I know s I'm one! Chase Robert will be elated with the victory. Josh came by earlier to take my trash and left the "dirty" laundry here. He suggested I take the Allante' out which I did! It was a pleasant ride of 11 miles around town.  I have my routine of driving the back roads. Salem Cross Inn's parking lot was amazingly full. Maybe Josh & Heidi dined as Chase Robert worked? Tomorrow I'll watch Joel Osteen on Daystar at 10:00 AM. The Red Sox have one more game before the All-Star break. Maybe the Sox will finish the First Half with a victory? GO SOX!

EIGHT STREIGHT RED SOX 5-4

The Boston Red Sox have spoken again! A walk-off homer at the last moment reveals the strength of the team.  I have waited all day for this. It is like a dream come true. I have developed a black & blue blood surface on my right hand the size of a silver dollar. I began showing it while at the Legion for suggestions. Have not yet showed it to Josh. The Legion was good. My friend Carol Slater was late! I drove the red Cadillac Allante' in the heat of the day. Gold was bid at $3,370.60 per oz. I think the Red Sox are their weight in gold!

SEVEN WINS BOSTON SOX

The anticipation of the Red Sox winning seven straight seemed not to be in the cards. Held to 4 hits Boston came alive in the 7th. The 4-3 victory for the Red Sox means they have the momentum to keep winning! This Thursday saw me driving the Allante' to East Brookfield to the Clam Box and visiting Lili P who always greets me with a smile I had whole belly clams, and a Diet Pepsi I will change my menu in the future. Maybe Clam Chowder and something more challenging? Spoke with Josh who told me about traveling to Joe's Wake with his brother Ben. Tomorrow, I plan on going to the Legion in WB and don't know what meal I will enjoy? The price of gold today was bid at $ 3,336.00. Remember "good things happen on Friday!"

RED HOT RED SOX

The Boston Red Sox continue to show they have what it takes. The 10-2 victory over the Colorado Rockies is revealing more than hope. The Sox are gaining more ground and are raising my hope of what may be around the corner? Today saw my older son Ben arrive for a 2-hour visit. I told Ben he looked like John Lennon with his amazing shock of hair. Ben admits he has a bet with a friend who will pay him $100 for the length of hid hair! Ben is here paying his last respects to his Friend Joe. Tonight, we had a   downpour measuring 2.51 inches of rain on my gauge. Tomorrow, I'll weigh myself and finish filling my pills in my Cady. Gold was bid at $3,304.80.

This was a confusing day for me! I thought it was Sunday until Chase Robert corrected me saying "It's Saturday, Pops!" Today was full, with Josh mowing my lawn and taking my "dirty" laundry. He relayed an invitation for me to have lunch at Ronnie & Chrissies for 2:00 PM. As usual the meal was splendid, and the company saw me enjoying my 4 Grandchildren Chase Robert, Lily, Maddie and Evie. The Red Sox game versus the Nationals came on at 4:05 PM. It was another great victory with Boston winning 10-3! Tomorrow, Sunday, I plan on watching Joel Osteen on Daystar at 10:00 AM. I did speak with my sister Jan for about 8 minutes. MY FOURTH OF JULY 2025

The baseball game in Washington DC began at 11:05 AM against the Nationals. It didn't take long for the SOX to take a commanding lead. The final score was 11-2 Sox! Josh came by earlier with Miley with my "clean" laundry. and invited me to join him later in Birch Hill. There's lots of Fourth July festivities both from Boston and Washington. I plan on watching enjoying everything to the fullest! I enjoyed seeing the Fourth Celebration at Common's edge this morning! Today's NEW YORK TIMES has a full display of the unanimous Declaration of the thirteen united STATES OF AMERICA. "In Congress July 4, 1776. as Free and Independent States". Each signer has their names and states represented. John Hancock served as president of the Continental Congress. His signature is bold and easily recognized. The only Catholic to sign the Declaration was Charles Carrol of Carrolton from Maryland. Later in this Fourth Celebration I drove the Allante' to Birch Hill for a relaxing time with family. Evie was making bracelets as Chase & Lily & Heidi joined in. I came home to watch the two programs celebrating the Fourth. Now I hear the noise of fireworks from downtown. Seems to be the biggest celebration I've ever heard! This Fourth of July 2025 in West Brookfield has proven to be sheer perfection!

QUIET THURSDAY - JULY 3, 2025

It has been a quiet day for me! Seems last night's festivities on the Common was perfect; Today saw a cloudy, dismal day with not much going on. All of the news was focused on tomorrow's Celebration of July 4th. I plan on watching tomorrow's Celebration on PBS tomorrow night at 8:00 PM. It is a ritual for me. The Boston Red Sox will be playing the Washington Nationals at 11:05 AM on NESN. Called Josh no avail. The weather has cleared. We had a nominal thunderstorm about 5:00 PM then the sky cleared. Looks like July 4, 2025, will be perfect in every way. Today's price of Gold was bid at $3,342.20.

INTERESTING JULY WEDNESDAY

My July 2, 2025, has been interesting for me! After doing my banking and fetching the newspapers Josh came by. It was a pleasant visit as I paid him my rent for the Poodle. He also brought the news of Son Ben's friend Joe obituary at age 51. Later in the day Ben called me with the details. He plans on coming to Connecticut for the funeral. He also plans on coming to West Brookfield.  As for the Red Sox. the first game was a victory against the Reds 8-4. Tonight's loss was by 4 runs. I took the Allante' out for a spin checking out the wonderful crowd on the WB Common. Tomorrow, I'll weigh myself. No Sox game tomorrow. They are headed for DC and 3 games over the weekend.  Enjoy the Holiday with family and friends!

After filling 5 days' worth of pills in my Cady I decided it was time to go to Hannaford NB My approach was different knowing there were some things needed... other a treat. One purchase was the TWIZZLER Strawberry licorice. My total purchase came to $121.10 with the 5% Senior Discount of $5.26. Tonight's Red Sox game is in a Rain Delay with the Sox ahead 2-1. Spoke with Josh briefly saying It was July 1 and I had rent money for him! Never showed up.  We had heavy rain and thunder about 5:00 PM. My rain gauge is full of pine needles, so I do not have a reading. The price of Gold was bid at $3,369.550.an ounce. The Bonfire Concert is tomorrow from 6-930 pm. featuring Wheelsmith. INCREDIBLE MONDAY IN LATE JUNE

This Monday has been incredible! It started at the VA in Worcester where a very sensitive lady at the pharmacy took time to refill some 9 prescriptions. It took some time and patience of Son Josh. Later in the day Chase Robert visited sharing his visit to Denver. He presented me with a Sigma Chai medal and a Denver magnet! We chatted about the Red Sox's game tonight. It has been a `13-6 victory for Boston!  Tomorrow, I plan on going to Hannaford NB for a modest refill.  Gold was bid at $3,299.20. Don't forget to change your calendars to July 2025! I did.

THE INSPIRATION OF JOEL OSTEEN'S MESSAGE

I like watching Joel Osteen every Sunday on Daystar! Today's message had to do with our attitude when we wake up. We control our emotions. Is the glass full or half empty? I will employ Joel's message from then on. Today's Red Sox was another story. Unlike yesterday's victory today saw Boston fall to Toronto 5-3. Josh came by with Miley and took my Trash & "dirty" laundry. He agreed to give me a haircut, so I drove the Allante' Birch Hill. It was a pleasant setting. Chase Robert was landing at Logan about 7:30 PM. I look forward to hearing his Denver story, Tomorrow Josh has agreed to take me to the VA in Worcester to pick up 2 prescriptions. MY VA PILL CADY RENEWED

It was early in the day when Josh returned my clean laundry. I told Josh of my dilemma of not having pills renewed. He insisted I call and speak to an agent which I did. It was a VA rep from Texas who reviewed my entire list and assured me they would be filled or alerting the doctors of my needs. It gave me solace knowing my situation would be resolved. Fast forward to Chase Robert visiting me as the Sox-Angles game came on at 4:00PM. We had a great visit of his forthcoming trip to Denver. Boston as beaten by the Angels 5-2! Tomorrow will be a day off before returning to Fenway for contests against the Blue Jays on Friday. The heat continues. I decided not to check on the Concerts on the Common.  For some folk's today's record temperature of 101 degrees had meaning. For me it was HOT! Seems this is the only resolve to "beat the heat1" Before I forget, tomorrow's Concerts   ON THE COMMON will feature DISCO LEMONADE.  The common was being mowed as I drove by with my newspapers. Chase Robert called advising me of his forthcoming trip to Denver, The Rockies have a horrible record of 18-60 and are 29.5 games behind. Tomorrow Chase will call and visit with me after 5:00 PM. "US BOMBS IRAN, TROOPS ON HIGH ALERT"

This headline in today's USA TODAY evokes many memories for me! Right away I began thinking about my tour of duty in Vietnam 1967-1968. I began researching Quatar and still don't know much about it. Methinks oil is one reason why Trump has acted. The other Monday news is the extreme heat. I was wearing black trousers and black knee socks when I heard it was time to change into Bermuda shorts and no socks. I have increased my consumption of water. Another secret id to REXAX! Received a call from Evie Potvin acknowledging receipt of my note, and cash donation. Evie is my Little Spitfire who goes to QRHS this Fall. The Red Sox play in Anaheim at 9:38 PM.  Should prove to be interesting after the debacle in San Francisco with the Giants. No Devers tonight! Gold is one to be watched.  This Sunday was defined by the ongoing heat. It was a Sunday with more anticipation of the Boston Red Sox winning only to fall to the Giants 9-5. Seems the Sox lost their handle on what a victory means. The Manager and a player were ejected. Then as this Sunday went along Josh & Miley came by for removal of my trash, taking my "Dirty" laundry and mowing my lawn! Josh admits he "loves" the heat. I don't. Tonight, I have been watching the NY Mets versus The Philadelphia Phillies who are leading 7-0 in the Eight. I treated myself to some Friendly Black Raspberry Ice Cream for the first time. Tomorrow, I plan on watching Joel Osteen on Daystar at 10:00 AM. As I write at 9:30 PM I can hear the thunder of fireworks somewhere in town? JUNE HEAT 2025

This is not my favorite type of Sumer weather! I was going to take the Allante' out for a spin when I was hit with heat! I had left my phone inside and found it telling me this heat is not for me. Temperatures reached the high eighties. I felt my AC was more alluring, so I've stayed inside. My memories of growing up in North Brookfield when all we had was an oscillating fan. My first AC came while living on King Street, NB, and since then AC is part of summer living. My Birch Hill home had central AC but was not efficient. WEST COAST RED SOX AT SEATTLE

The mix has changed for the Red Sox! Tonight's game will begin at 9:40 PM and can be seen on NESN. I don't plan on watching. The big news in Red Sox circles is the trade of Rafael Devers to the San Francisco. While it is upsetting to me and most of the Red Sox Nation I am reminded more than 100 years ago East Brookfield's Connie Mack sold players to remain solvent. Money has always been the name of the game. Today is no different. This Monday saw brilliant sunshine. I sat out for 3/4 hour. Josh came by with my clean laundry and we discussed the Devers trade. I think everyone is upset. My hope is the younger players will respond in a positive manner! Gold was bid at $3,436.80. Tomorrow I will go to Hannaford NB for several necessities.

It is a history of my dad's life. Tomorrow I'll celebrate my day with sons Josh, Ben and Chase Robert. I have been invited to Ron & Chrissies for lunch at 1: 00.PM In the morning I plan on watching Joel Osteen at 10:00 AM on Daystar.  The final game with the Yankees is an afternoon game at 1:00 PM on NESN. Maybe the Sox will sweep the Bronx Bombers? HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!

RED SOX FRIDAY!

Seems the Boston Red Sox are doing everything right to win! Aaron Judge's 9th Inning Home Run tied the game at 1-1 bringing the game into extra innings. The ghost runner set the stage, and two controversial calls favored Boston. In a dramatic 10th inning finish the Boston Red Sox defeated the New Yankees again 2-1!! My Friday saw me drive the Allante' to Hannaford NB where I spent $148.26. Everything was placed in the trunk. My Honda has been redlined. Josh came by taking the "dirty" laundry and trash Plus he corrected my frustrations in allowing me to post on Blogger.com. The Legion was good seeing Carol Slater talk about her broken molar. Once again, I enjoyed driving the Allante' The price of Gold was bid at $3,453.20. Tomorrow it will be another game between the Sox & Yankees.  Happy Friday the 13th!

RED SOX WIN 4-3

A RED SOX victory makes this Wednesday special! Today's focus has been on the Concerts on the Common. After posting my blog about the concerts I drove the Allante' around town three times. I observed the makeup of how things would progress. First was the yellow popcorn building. As the day progressed, I returned to see how the crowd built up. It was a perfect June day assuring the crowd would build up. It did indeed. A perfect Wednesday in every way. Tonight, the Red Sox showed their prowess in holding back The Tamps Bay Rays with a 4-3 victory. Now, with tomorrow off Fenway Park will welcome the New York Yankees for three games on the weekend. Stay tines.

RELAXING TUESDAY

Today has been relaxing for me! After getting my newspapers Josh had returned my "clean" laundry which was put away. One way contributing to my relaxing was watching Olivia Newton-John at the Sydney Opera House. She is my favorite singing Xanadu and Hopelessly Devoting to You. Tonight's Red Sox gave versus Tampa Bay was also relaxing. The Sox held the Rays to 3 hits winning 3-1. I know Chase Robert will be pleased with the results as I am.! Maybe the Sox can repeat this victory tomorrow?

AN AMAZING SUNDAY

This Sunday in June seemed to have everything come together! Hannaford NB saw me stock up with foodstuffs totaling $87.22. The anticipation of the Red Sox - Yankee game saw me pre-empt the game by Josh volunteering to wash my Allante' at his home on Birch Hill. The car sparkles! Then he mowed my lawn at the Poodle. Tonight's Red Sox - Yankee game has been a Home Run fest. A. Judge had two home runs and Devers the Sox defeated the Yankees 11-7.  Today is Savannah H. Potvin's 11th birthday. I have sent Savvy a note and a cash donation.

RED SOX VICTORY OVER YANKEES!

This was an important victory for the Boston Red Sox. Garrett Cochet was in good stead and Boston kept the lead all of the game. The final score was Boston 10 and New York 7.  Much of today was rainy. It cleared by sunset. I'm low on my Advil Liquid Gels so I may go to Hannaford NB tomorrow? Called Josh but no return today. I have a bag of trash and "dirty" laundry to be picked up.

YANKEES GO HOME!

Another very long day. It was transitional from yesterday's heat. Today was cloudy and eventually saw a thunderstorm and .11 inches of rain as measured on my gauge. Today's Legion visit was different. I enjoyed six Mazzarella Sticks and a cold drink on ice. Jeff Nickerson didn't stay long, and Carol Slater visited with me in a usual manner.  The Red Sox just lost to the Yankees 9-6. R. Devers had another home run! Gold was bid at $3,369.50.

EXTREME HEAT OF JUNE 5, 2025

Today's temperature reached 92 degrees in West Brookfield! It slowed everybody down to a crawl. My weight came in at 147+lbs. Steady. After lunch I called the WB Post Office alerting the "Lady with the Red Hair" I wanted to pick up my mail. She delivered it to me in my Honda which is air conditioned. This weekly schedule of pick-up works for me. Thursday MLB Baseball saw the Dodgers defeat the Mets then tonight, it has been the Yankees versus the Guardians. The Yanks are leading 4-0 in the Ninth. Tomorrow, I plan on going to the Legion for my usual Friday visit. No idea what I'll have to eat? Placed a call to Josh but didn't hear back. The price of Gold was bid at $3,405.20.  My Air Conditioner will remain all night!

RED SOX WEDNESDAY

The highlight on this day came when the Boston Red Sox hit a Walk-Off homer in the Ninth Inning. It was a nip and tuck game all the way until the Ninth Inning when a home run hit the Pesky Pole declaring victory against the Angels 11-9! This victory leaves a good taste in the mouths of Red Sox fans who are headed to New York for Friday night's game against the Bronx Bombers and #99 Aaron Judge. With all the news about Tornados I am reminded of the Worcester, Mass. Tornado of June 9, 1953, in which 94 people were killed. According to my research on Wikipedia the Tornado lasted 76 minutes. I was ten at the time and have memories of traveling to see the aftermath with family. I took the   Allante' out for a 10-mile spin after speaking with Josh. It was too nice of a day to stay inside.  Gold was bid at $3,3382.60. Tomorrow, I'll weigh myself. as it will be Thursday and enjoy the comfort of Air Conditioning.

AN IMPORTANT TUESDAY

This Tuesday had many facets for me! The first one was going to Hannaford NB for food. The total purchase came to $122.35 with the Senior Discount of $6.28. Sat out in the strong sunshine but had better plans: Visit Lily P at the Clam Box in its new location in EB. Drove the Cadillac Allante' enjoying some Sea Scallops and a Diet Pepsi. Came back to a brief visit by Josh then settled down to another Red Sox-Angle game. The Sox lost in ten innings 4-3. Gold was bid at $3,370.60.  My Tuesday proved to be complete!

MANIC MONDAY

This Monday has been long! It all began with doing banking and fetching the two newspapers. All day long I thought of driving the Allante' and I did. Josh invited me to Birch Hill where I was hopeful of getting the car washed but it wasn't in the cards. Did bring some Milk Bone treats for Miley. Chase Robert called later in the day recounting his new job at Country Bank. We were hopeful the Red Sox would prevail over the Angels, but they didn't. The Sox fell flat in the 1st Inning giving up 3 home runs and falling behind 6-0. The Sox struggled losing scoring opportunities with a final score of 7-6. Former Red Sox reliever, Kenley Jansen, closed out the game. I Like Jansen for his unique delivery. The price of Gold keeps going up with a bid of $3,389.60. Tomorrow I may go to Hannaford NB taking a new look at my food supply!

SATISFYING SUNDAY JUNE 1, 2025

Thia first day of June 2025, was satisfying to me especially with the Boston Red Sox prevailing over the Alanta Braves 3-1! Before that as I went to get the Sunday Times I was amazed to witness a large tree had fallen on the WB Town Common. It appeared to have sustained decay. I don't know if wind, lightening or both was the cause? Being Sunday, I don't know if it has been removed? In speaking with Son Ben, I learned the meaning of Juneteenth! Now I know. It is a Federal Holiday commemorating the freeing of Slaves by President A. Lincoln in 1865! I will do banking tomorrow and cheer the Red Sox who will be back at Fenway. Josh came by with Miley and picked up my trash and "Dirty" laundry Cool weather prevails until mid-week they it will be great weather for AC!

MLB BASEBALL SATURDAY

MY Saturday was different! After buying the New York Times friend and brother Steve Magnante called asking to visit. Steve is now age 60 and continues to live a busy life working on a major Estate Auction of rare and collectible automobiles. We had a lot of laughs and when I asked Steve of his opinion on my Cadillac Allante' Steve responded 'It's the right color: Red!" The Red Sox fell to the Braves 5-0 only to be bested by the LA Dodgers who are leading the NY Yankees 10-0 in the second inning!! Tomorrow, I plan on watching Joel Osteen on Daystar at 10:00 AM. I changed my calendars to June 2015. did you? My rain gauge registers: .80 inches of rain today. And yes, I watched the legacy of the 1964 JFK silver half dollar. Some folks don't realize the coins value today! Do you have any saved?

FULFILLING FRIDAY

Today has been a fulfilling day for me! After getting my daily newspapers I drove to Hannaford NB for groceries and supplies. The total came to $111.80. Nothing serious other than the usual. I like the Dole Pineapple Tidbits. Josh called suggesting I drive the Cadillac Allante' to the Legion. I did as it was clear enough with no threat of rain. My meal was a Cheeseburger Delight and a drink on ice. Jeff Nickerson and Carol Slater joined in the conversation. The crowd was large. Tonight, the Red Sox and Braves are playing but not on NESN. The Braves are leading 1-0 in the Fourth Inning. Today's price of Gold was bid at $3,324. Again, Happy 53rd Birthday to son Ben!

THURSDAY OF REVIEW

My Thursday was one of reviewing things that mean a lot to me! As there wasn't any Red Sox to report I chose to watch the Phillies defeat the Braves. I did arrange a bag of trash for Josh to pick up at his convenience. In reviewing the contents of my new refrigerator, a trip to Hannaford NB will be necessary tomorrow. I have prepared a list not to forget. An important day in history comes tomorrow with son Ben Potvin turns 53! My how time flies. The price of Gold was bid at $3,346.40. The weather has changed with several days of rain in the forecast. Seems our 'Rainy Weekends" will persist.

BUSY WEDNESDAY IN LATE MAY 2025

My Wednesday was busy all day! After reading my newspapers I decided to call for my mail. Debbie delivered a bundle of mail to my Honda: no checks! This service is appreciated and convenient. It was another loss for the Red Sox. The Brewers won in 10 innings 6-5. After the game I called Josh and decided to take the Cadillac Allante' out for a spin around the town. Stopped at Country Corner for a fill-up. $35.00 Drove 10 miles sporting a decent trip. Tomorrow, I'll weigh myself. Sister Jan called for a 15-minute conversation getting caught up on our family news. The price of Gold was bid at $3,338.80.
