On June 17, 1994 an auction of old clocks & antiques fetched $127,216! It was one of my biggest auction sales staged at the Southbridge Host Hotel. Through my friend & brother Dick Fuller this auction required much research. My clients were demanding and I responded accordingly. They insisted I do a direct mail to 7,000 members of the National Clock & Watches members along with hiring a clock mechanic to oversee the mating and matching of old clocks. This auction had a large variety of old clocks: Banjo, Regulator, Schoolhouse, Calendar, O-Gee, Jewelers Regulator, Gingerbread. Cottage, Steeple, Chelsea, Cuckoo, 9 Grandfather clocks and many, many more.I hired two other auctioneers to keep things rolling. It was amazing indeed! The digital age and Internet today has changed everything.
