ST. PATRICK'S DAY BLIZZARD 1956

I was in the eighth grade at St. Joseph School, North Brookfield, MA when the storm began. That winter had been open. Then, bam, before it was over we had THREE blizzards in eight days. The snow atop Fullam Hill Road drifted across the road and required a bull dozer to clear. We had thunder snow. The Greek freighter Etrusco was grounded at Scituate Harbor and remained that way until November! It was from this weather Don Kent gained fame and fortune!
