LILY POTVIN

Thoughtfulness is an attribute many folks don't have! In my case my oldest Grand Daughter Lily Potvin comes through with flying colors. Lily demonstrates a certain empathy for seeing a need and filling it. Lily is a leader. Recently she found an old photo of me and gave it to me with open arms. Today, Lily presented me with a photo of my folks, Joe & Rita. But there's more to this blog. Each day Lily has brought my newspapers with a smile! Lily enjoys life and it shows. As a student at Endicott College Lily will inspire her classes. I wish Lily well in all Lily sets out to accomplish. "One teacher can affect humanity!"

SATURDAY IN THE PARK & BROOKHAVEN

This Saturday was different for me! I was asleep when Lily & Maddie delivered my NY TIMES.  The big news of my Saturday was the Seton Hall Pirates continue to roll with a 78-67 victory over Kanas State. Josh & Ben called me to make sure I was following SHU. No Joel Osteen tomorrow? A quiet way to end the week!

CAROL SLATER

The Bible says, 'a faithful friend is a sturdy shelter' and that is what Carol Slater means to me. Carol is consistent in being a top-notch friend. Today, Carol brought me a package of oatmeal cookies which I chose to give to my friends across the hall. I feel it is "always better to give than receive,'

MANIC MONDAY

A new month means new ideas. It has been meaningful to me with the Christmas entertainment. brought out the best with good cheer and singalong. I wore my Santa Claus hat. Josh came by advising a VA nurse wanted to see me. The interview went very well. Later in the day saw another rep came by with a modified scooter to be used. Snow remains in the forecast with up to 7 inches.
