Today is son Ben's 51st birthday! Son Ben is as loyal as they come. Although living in Belmont, NC with a career with The Hartford in Charlotte as a commercial underwriter. After going through my regular morning routine I did going to Hannaford NB for food.I got hooked on a bag of cashews and ate much of the bag.Interestingly enough the contents are a product of India, Indonesia, and Vietnam! Goes to show you if you don't read the labels "anything goes"! My mission today was to get an oil change for the Allante'.I ended up with a June 2nd date at Parsons Auto. I washed the car and wiped it down in anticipation of the Memorial Day parade on Monday at 9:00 AM at the school in WB.school. My day went well.

The rain began as a mist when I drove to get my NY New York Times. I quickly returned home and exchanged cars driving to Hannaford NB. I usually have a list made up. My purchases totaled just over $60. The rain was more steady when I returned.The Honda got a free wash! Next task was to dole out pills. I completed usinipril and baby aspirin for the month before enjoying Lobster Bisque for lunch. Part of the afternoon was reviewing the Littleton Coin booklet. The highlight came in watching the Preakness race and National Treasure the winner.Trainer Bob Baffert's white hair stood out.

I started my Friday by filling my pill cady. I must work on this tomorrow. The next aspect for my day came with Josh taking me to the VA in Worcester. I met with Brinda Sanjay,MD and had my blood work drawn. It was a pleasant visit as I hadn't seen her in months! Next came receiving a comprehensive book from Littleton Coin Company, NH. This is a reference for the collection I am working on.Sister Janet called before my going to the Legion. I learned how to play music i.e Johnny Cash and the Eagles.I enjoyed mazzerella sticks and the company of the ladies I am getting to know. This Friday was fulfilling.

It is Prom night and the colorful gowns were glistening in the May sunshine.Chase Robert escorted Liz and it seemed everyone was taking pictures with their Smartphones. I sat on the sidle lines taking it all in.I recalled my class of 1960 from North Brookfield High School. LIZAK's two new white tour buses waited to escort the Seniors back to Quaboag. It was a clear cool day.

After many months I watched "Good Morning Vietnam" on a tape I own. Watching the movie featuring Robin Williams evoked many memories of my time in Vietnam in 1967. The movie portrayed Williams as a radio celebrity being heard throughout Vietnam. I served my Country as an x-ray technician in addition being spokesperson to troops on VD.! I made friends with some Australians who used to come visit me in my lab. I got to go to Australia on my R&R. I never saw any action.Watching the movie keeps my memories alive at this late date.

About once a month my son Josh gives me a haircut. While there's little to boast about he gets the job done. I found this Monday, again, sitting in the sunshine before a call from Josh advising me of Chase's baseball game against Tantasqua. Chase did get a hit and the Cougars were defeated.

I was introduced to the RR concept by traveling with Mr. Cooke to a RR dealer, Mr. Sam Adelman, in West Chester, NY, My job was wire brushing a the chassis of the car in Cooke's garage.
