MY BUSY FRIDAY

 After being bathed by a nurse I traveled to Hannaford's NB for some food. I had prepared a list of some 84 items. The total came to $87.33. In particular was 100% orange juice. I did see Bill as I left and received a call from Bill Gross in Oregon. Bill is my esteemed college roommate from Saint Louis University. A nap was refreshing and Josh called seeing if I had changed my mind in going to the American Legion, I said "Yes." It was fun returning to the Legion where I had haddock. Jeff Nickerson joined in our visit.This Friday was good!

OPENING DAY AT FENWAY

 It was one of the coldest days at Fenway Park. I watched the entire game in the Sox loss of 10-9. I have attended many opening  day games with Ben and Josh over the years.Today I watched the game on my 75 inch Sony HDTV as if I was there! Thought we were in for a storm.. instead we had a gale from the northwest. Did some research on the name POTVIN. Denis Potvin of the New York Islanders hockey team made the name big in the 1980s. It was otherwise quiet around the Poodle.

BACK IN BUSINESS

 The prowess of son Josh in resolving my blogging problems can't be over estimated! He can fix anything! Today saw me sitting on a chair in the sunshine for over two hours.Richie Holbrook stopped by for an extended visit. Richie was co owners of Holbrook Brothers auto body in Brookfield.Earlier  Henna, an occupational therapist stopped by giving me a good report. Tonight we enjoyed a campfire on Birch Hill. All is well that ends well.

LIFE CARE CENTER OF AUBURN

I was in Life Care for about 3 weeks.My observations was from many vantage points.My notes are 1. They care. 2. Immediate response to all requests 3.  A variety of employees from all over the  world.  4. . Totaly computerized. 5.A very complex operation led by Catherine D'Ellia Fontanine, LNHA.(the peanut lady)

A COMPLETE MONDAY

 This particular Monday is being good. My rest in my own bed gave me 12 hours of rest and relaxation! A visiting nurse came by telling me what to expect. I will be getting home therapy for 4 weeks. I am restricted to drive a car.  Paid all of my bills outstanding. National grid was $261.28, Spectrum $194.97 VA drugs $69.00 and auto excise bill $204. I weighed in at 154 lbs. My appetite is excellent. Called Bill Gross in Oregon.Was going to sit in the sunshine but it clouded over.

HOME AGAIN!

It has been quite a month from being  a patient at Harrington hospital in Southbridge to Life Care of Auburn a rehab facility.  I made lots of friends with both staff members and patients. This facility gets an A+ in making my stay tolerable. Son Josh took charge of both my admission and release. Thanks!
