It was a fitful slumber. A combination of a Seton Hall victory and the astounding delivery of the State of the Union speech delivered my pillow talk into Queens.
My dream with the President was surreal. I dreamt I was a blogger interrogating our chief executive. Mr. Trump sported a massive tattoo!
He was affable answering all of my definitive questions about his personal life. I asked him his opinion on real estate. He obliged! Our new President is 100% I dreamed.
I awoke at 1:30 AM totally satisfied of my Presidential interview.
"Thank you, Mr. President!"

THE GARRULOUS AND LOQUACIOUS PRESIDENT TRUMP
Mr. President is not short of words. He's garrulous and loquacious!
I had a front row seat in the House Chamber on Capitol Hill. My dynamo HDTV delivered and I got smart. I watched the entire State of The Union without any commentary from the peanuts in the gallery! C-SPAN 3 is my secret!
The camera coverage was splendid. Our President's comprehensive message will take four years to sift through his vision. The Big Shots were everywhere in the audience! Some clapped... some remained silent.
I think the President earned an A in his delivery. Mr. Trump knows how to play every crowd on Planet Earth. I think every vestige of the media from TV to print and beyond will devour Donald Trump's broad vision. What I like the most is the planned Celebration of our 250th! It is 9 years away and challenges us all to participate.
The President reminisced about Thomas Edison, Underwood, and other inventions showcased in the 1876 Centennial held in Philadelphia!
I think the President's message was stern and for good reason.. it was an continuation of his campaign mantra of the past two years...so LET US MAKE AMERICE GREAT!
Trump plays the role surpassingly well. More power to him.

WHY DO THE MULTITUDES OF MOTORISTS RESIST?
I give up. Are people that modest and don't ascribe to having a nice number plate? Have some fun! Or are they just indifferent? (cheap) LOL
BLOG - MY SIGNATURE
This vanity plate grows on me! "But how did you get it, Bob?" Simple! I asked for it. It was that simple!
MARCH RIGHT IN!
Tomorrow at this time March will be marching in. Isn't that great? Our spirits will rise until we get blasted with a late-in-season blizzard! Don't laugh as you can't fool Mother Nature!
It is a delight seeing the school kids meet their parents. Equally as much fun is observing Josh & Heidi's tree budding. It got up into the 6os today and tomorrow should be higher.
The second phase of my monthly stipends arrive tomorrow at 5:00 AM.. they say.
Double header tonight...Seton Hall and Georgetown at 6:30 then President Trump at 9:00. I wonder if he took a nap as I did? Sunshine pours in my office window.
Dirty laundry this morning.\ and now a glass of Allen's apple cider and some UTZ Cheddar popcorn. Planning on detailing my Honda tomorrow. Did the interior earlier today. It pays to keep a clean automobile every month of the year! How does your car stack up?

THE DEMISE OF THE LP ALBUM
I was all excited as I reviewed the vast collection of LP Albums in Hadley at the best Salvation Army in the World. I grabbed "Gloria" by Laura Brannigan for a song. When I checked out the friendly clerk said "fifty-two cents" please! "How low can you go I thought."
One of my music friends said "LPs have gone the ways of the clouds!"
She's right. They border on being worthless...but wait! The artwork in a well preserved album is historic. A clever mind may tack a story on the walls of your choice!
Regardless of the fate of the LP music is still music. Remember Teresa Brewer singing 'BUT ANOTHER NICKLE IN... IN THE NICKLEODIAN' My how things have changed. From the days of old Tom Edison with his cylinder-type crank photographs things in the music world have evolved exponentially.
What's next... after voice activation? My grandkids will look at all of the above as antiques!

FATS TURNED 89 YESTERDAY!
Ain't that a shame?
RODNEY DANGERFIELD
Rodney will be back!
"My wife and I were happy for twenty years.. then we met!"
"My mother had morning sickness after I was born!"
"I never forget a face but in your case I'll make an exception!"

THE ICONIC VOICE OF CASEY KASEM
Professor Casey Kasem has left a legacy second to none. I know as my son Ben is top in his music class! Since the eighties Casey was Ben's Sunday brunch. Casey inculcated they young in music.
"It was 25 years ago my dad introduced me to your program." These touching words were spread by Casey around the world. I was atop that Charlton hill listening on WBMW of Ben's Long Distance Dedication.
A little over a year later Casey read my Long Distance Dedication about bringing my sons to concerts. He also mentioned my playing 45 rpm records every noon at the North Brookfield High School gym.
Casey's messages are indelibly scribed on my country's soul. I even received a phone call from Casey, himself one December after Dan Fogelberg died. Once again Ben got on the air!
The most poignant dedication read by Casey Kasem was "The day my mother died." Somehow I would like to learn how to download these specialties on to my blog! Any ideas or suggestions?
Casey Kasem lives today on YouTube and the memory of the "Pop Music Professor" lives forever.
"Thank's Casey" and thanks for instructing the world in happiness!

ANTICIPATION:ONE SECRET TO BEING FIRST IN LINE
When BUSH 41 just won NASCAR at Daytona, I was poised to get his victory on line.... "FIRST!" There's virtue in being first. I am reminded of a certain old man who dilly-dallied his way through life! Not me. Promptness is a virtue if you ask me.
I don't tolerate being late. It is not my style and I'll leave things at that. Just remember..."If you are not first you are last" in a line of two! LOL.

ACHING KNEES, JAMES LAST SERENADE AND VILANOVA BASKETBALL
It has been one of those arthritic days.. painful joints. Drugs don't seem to work this Saturday.
I didn't leave town, paid my rent and took it easy. The Villanova game was good. Seton Hall won again and I got around to picking up my pad a bit.
I am a glutton for frames. Why I don't know? Maybe because they are so easy to acquire at Salvation Army?
Tonight I enjoy the big band sound of German Composer Hans Last. He's the best. It is all there, free, on YouTube.
Chase has a game tomorrow.
Three days left in February. I just can't wait for March Madness! How about you?

ORION THE HUNTER
Last night, late into the evening, I looked out my front door, opened.
Thinking nothing was happening I stargazed on Orion The Hunter. This is my favorite constellation. The magnitude of Orion is beyond belief.
MAn has gazed at the heavens since the beginning of time and with the recent discovery of more planets tells me "we ain't seen nothing yet." I thik it's time to go back to Foster Hill. "How Great Thou Art!"

OUR LATE FEBRUARY REPRIEVE FROM WINTER
Now that we know Spring is just around the corner, figuring out what corner is another matter. The blowtorch of the sky has eliminated 99% of the snow. Snow persists in the woods however.
These two days were a reward to humankind. My black Honda Accord was treated to the car laundry in Sturbridge. Inexpensive to say the least. Cars run better when they at clean... less friction. LOL.
This Friday was a day of naps. Nothing to excite the old man. Only one bill.. no checks..no kidding. I ensconced in my "driveway-recliner" soaking in more rays. But wait. Wyoming is wild and air mass in inching its way eastward.
The next welcome hurdle will be in moving our clocks ahead in a couple of weeks. Before you know it Chase will be mowing my lawn again. I love Spring!
No definite plans for the weekend.
MARCH MADNESS is around the corner! Stay tuned

FEBRUARY SPRING
While the Upper Midwest endures another blizzard, New England is basking in sunshine. All of the millennials were in shorts and T shirts. I sunned my bald head for 90 minutes in a recliner perched in my driveway.
Chase, Lily, Madeline and Evelyn traveled to The Quabbin only to return to Rockhouse. They a big group of classmates filled "Windy Acres" a name I gave to their Birch Hill estate.
Dropped 50 bucks at Hannaford, North Brookfield.
Shot over to St. Joseph Cemetery and reflected on death as it is part of life. I have more relatives up there pushing up daisies.
77 year old sister Jan was not home. I delivered a dozen daffodils. Nice.
Tomorrow looks good, weatherwise!

SAY GOODBYE TO THE OLD FACTORY AND TREES!
The eyesore on Pleasant Street, West Brookfield,MA, and the attendant trees on Lake Street are gone with wind! Both items surprised me. The factory was offensive to view for years. It has been razed. No idea of what's going in there. My grandfather, Paul A. Potvin, worked for Olmstead 100 years ago!
The trees are a sore subject with me. I can assure the muds and construction of the Spring will have all of the residents in an ire. Case closed. "I think I will never see a poem as lovely as a tree." Now we will have a SILENT SPRING ON LAKE STREET! No sensitivity to Mother Nature and singing songbirds!

AVUNCULAR
One doesn't have to be an uncle to be avuncular! IF you are an uncle, the positive attributes are of kindness, genial and benevolent.
I had a ton of uncles (11) and 2 great uncles growing up in North Brookfield, Mass. Several of these men were returning soldiers from WWII and two did not have any children. I feel I was their surrogate little boy. My name was "Bobby!"
Uncle Albert was my favorite. His brother Uncle Franny was a rock star achieving Valedictorian at North Brookfield High School in 1947. Albert was pensive in his doings and failed at marriage after five years. He worked at Quaboag Rubber then onto the Colonial Press in Clinton. Several years ago I received a phone call from a friend of Albert's in Florida!
My uncles were smart and they were good men.
While serving in Vietnam Uncle Albert proved to be a loyal pen pal. Insights from his time in Germany and the Panama eased my pain in Vung Tau. In retirement we reconnected and Albert became avuncular to my sons Ben and Josh.
In taking him to the Hartford Civic Center in 1980, Al and Ben and Josh witnessed Larry Bird sinking some 30 foot shots from the floor. My uncle also served as my auction clerk when I began. He would join us at the Worcester County Numismatic Society on Friday nights.
Sad to say Uncle Albert smoked 4 packs of Camels a day for 50 years. Lung cancer emaciated his soul and well being but his deathbed wisdom prevailed in my buying a shiny Orient Red Mercedes 240-D: 'Buy it if you may and take a second mortgage if you must... even a third mortgage BUT KEEP THEM GUESING! Albert was a prolific gambler, love horses, and was in the league of Kenny Rogers!
Uncle Albert would be 99 today. I miss his avuncular ways, indeed!
